25 Years of Service

At the NEBB Victoria Technical Session held on Monday 22nd September 2008, three of our NEBB Certified Professionals were recognised for 25 years of service to NEBB and the Chapter.

The 25 year pins issued by NEBB in the USA along with a Certificate of Recognition and Thanks were presented by the visiting NEBB National President, Jerry Bauers to:

NEBB at ARBS

NEBB Australia had a very successful time at the ARBS Exhibition in Melbourne April 2008.

A great deal of interest was shown in the NEBB program with several people from various States indicating their intention to join the program.

Thanks to all the NEBB Supervisors who assisted to man our stand!

National Environmental Balancing Bureau (NEBB) Australia, working under licence from NEBB USA, as the 1st International Consolidated Chapter, is an organisation dedicated to the implementation and promotion of established industry standards, procedures and specifications for work in the various disciplines related to environmental systems which include:

NEBB Australia offers an educational program of instruction, to train supervisory and technical personnel in the proper methods and procedures to be used in performing services in the various disciplines.

NEBB Australia maintains a set of criteria for certification, and a system to thereby certify companies for their performance and supervision of the various services which are encompassed by the NEBB criteria.

NEBB Australia maintains minimum educational standards and experience requirements for the qualification of supervisors and technical personnel employed by companies which perform work in these disciplines.

NEBB Australia acts as a focal point for educational and technical manuals pertinent to performing services in the various disciplines involving environmental systems.

NEBB Program continuing in SA

We now have have several study candidates undertaking the NEBB TAB Certified Professional's Home Study Course in South Australia.

Syd Foster from SA Tafe is working with the group who meet and study together on a regular basis with one candidate undertaking the September NEBB certification exam in 2008. The majority of the group will be undertaking their exams in March 2009.

Successful NEBB Technicians Course
A number of commissioning technicians recently undertook and passed the TAB technicians written exams.

Supervisor Course Planned for Early 2009
Early next year Queensland will be running the NEBB supervisors course. This will be an opportunity for those people who have been successful in the Technician Course to take the next step to becoming NEBB Qualified and their companies to become NEBB certified.

NSW coming online with NEBB Certification
Several companies had candidates undertake the NEBB Supervisors Home Study Course in 2007, with a number of candidates successfully completing the Written Exams in September.

Practical Examinations have now been undertaken successfully by all 4 candidates who are now in the final stages of gaining NEBB certification for their respective companies. Congratulations!
