This will occur on Wednesday 29 October 2008 in Melbourne.  Members are also advised that an Australian Green’s Senator (Senator Rachel Siewert) has initiated a Bill into the Senate to repeal the Building and Construction Industry Improvement Act – this would have the effect of abolishing the ABCC in its entirety. The Bill has been referred to a Senate Standing Committee which has invited written submissions from interested parties. AMCA will be providing the Committee with a submission.
