The Specialist Contractors Association in South Australia are hosting an event to discuss how construction contracts can be made fairer.


The Specialist Contractors Association of South Australia is comprised of the National Electrical and Communications Association SA/NT (NECA), Air Conditioning and Mechanical Contractors' Association SA (AMCA), Master Plumbers Association SA (MPA), National Fire Industry Association (NFIA) SA and the Australian Subcontractor Association (ASA).

The Association aims to achieve a fair and equitable allocation of risk in the construction industry to ensure the longevity of subcontract resources in South Australia.

This event will bring together owners and managers of subcontractor businesses, the associations in the Specialist Contractors (SCSA), key industry personnel and politicians to discuss unfair contract terms and what we can do to make them illegal.

We will hear from guest speakers who are experts in the field, including Andrew O’Connor, Chair of SCSA and Managing Director of O'Connors, Dr Jeremy Coggins, expert in construction law and contract administration, and The Honourable Vickie Chapman MP, Deputy Premier, Attorney-General and Member for Bragg.

Drinks and nibbles will be provided.

Cancellation Policy

The AMCA reserve the right to cancel, postpone or reschedule events and training courses due to insufficient interest or other reasons beyond our control. In the instance that events or training courses are cancelled, a full refund will be given.

Refund Policy

A full refund will be given if the AMCA is notified in writing a minimum of 4 business days prior to the course commencement date. A 50% administration charge will be incurred if the AMCA is notified within 3 business days or less. No refund will be given if the AMCA is not notified of cancellation.
