Members in South Australia are invited to attend a presentation from the Office of the Technical Regulator, who will provide an update on the various obligations and changes relating to Electronic Certificates of Compliance.

The presentation is targeted at business owners and managers working in air conditioning service and maintenance, and provides attendees with the opportunity to network with people working in similar fields.

Attendees can expect to come away with the following:

  • Who can sign off an Electronic Certificate of Compliance (ECOC);
  • What it means to sign-off on an ECOC
  • Delivery of ECOC to clients
  • What's involved in an audit and when they are likely to happen
  • Reporting of electrical shocks

About the Office of the Technical Regulator

The Office of the Technical Regulator is responsible for South Australia’s electrical, gas and plumbing safety and technical regulation. Its primary objectives are ensuring the safety of workers, consumers and property, as well as compliance with legislation and applicable technical standards in the electricity, gas and water industries.

The position of the Technical Regulator is established under the following Acts:

  • Electricity Act 1996
  • Gas Act 1997
  • Energy Products (Safety and Efficiency) Act 2000
  • Water Industry Act 2012

The Office of the Technical Regulator (OTR) assists the Technical Regulator in the administration of these Acts. Its primary objectives are ensuring the safety of workers, consumers and property as well as compliance with legislation and applicable technical standards in the electricity, gas and water industries.

Cancellation Policy

The AMCA reserve the right to cancel, postpone or reschedule events and training courses due to insufficient interest or other reasons beyond our control. In the instance that events or training courses are cancelled, a full refund will be given.

Refund Policy

A full refund will be given if the AMCA is notified in writing a minimum of 4 business days prior to the course commencement date. A 50% administration charge will be incurred if the AMCA is notified within 3 business days or less. No refund will be given if the AMCA is not notified of cancellation.
