Chief economic forecaster of the Australian Construction Industry Forum, Mr Kerry Barwise, will provide members with an update on the state of building and construction in the ACT.


Twice annually, the Australian Construction Industry Forum (ACIF) publish a series of detailed economic forecasts for the construction industry. 

Overseen by ACIF’s Construction Forecasting Council (CFC) and produced by one of industry's leading economists, these forecasts have developed a reputation for providing decision makers with reliable and highly accurate data with which to plan, as well as a big picture overview of Australian market trends. 

Attendees of this AMCA members only event will receive a comprehensive overview of the state of building and construction in Australia, with a focus on trends and drivers of activity in the Victoria.

About the speaker

Kerry Barwise specialises in providing economic and policy advice to business and government. He commenced his career in the Commonwealth Treasury, where he provided advice across a range of policy and reform areas for over 11 years, Upon shifting into private sector consulting. Kerry has help several senior roles with some of Australia's most respected economic consulting businesses, including Allen Consulting Group, the Centre for International Economics and ACIL Allen Consulting. Kerry has led the production of the ACIF Forecasts since 2012, supported by a team of expert forecasters. He has also undertaken analysis for the Property Council of Australia, ASBEC, the Australian Institute of Architects, as well as numerous government planning and infrastructure departments.

Cancellation Policy

The AMCA reserve the right to cancel, postpone or reschedule events and training courses due to insufficient interest or other reasons beyond our control. In the instance that events or training courses are cancelled, a full refund will be given.

Refund Policy

A full refund will be given if the AMCA is notified in writing a minimum of 4 business days prior to the course commencement date. A 50% administration charge will be incurred if the AMCA is notified within 3 business days or less. No refund will be given if the AMCA is not notified of cancellation.
