The Australian Building Codes Board has released all three volumes of NCC 2019 for preview.
Responding to the draft release last year, the AMCA submitted feedback on several Section J Energy Efficiency provisions, with many of our comments being included in the final release.
“We are particularly pleased to see our comments around ductwork insulation reflected in the preview,” said AMCA Policy and Communications Manager, Ben Hawkins.
“The result is a continuing standardisation and rationalisation of insulation thicknesses that will deliver lower costs to industry as well as better energy performance”.
All documents can be download as a PDF by logging into the ABCB website and have been released ahead of the online version expected in early March.
ABCB standards and protocols referenced in the code will be available from late February with the final code formally adopted from May 1, 2019.
