Published: 23 May 2019

AMCA Victoria’s Training Achievement Awards aims to recognise apprentices and trainees who have achieved excellence when undertaking training with AMCA member companies.

These awards are a key event on our annual calendar as they provide an opportunity to reflect upon and celebrate the critical role that training and education plays in the prosperity of our industry, as well as the broader community.

This year, the AMCA will present training excellence awards in each of the following categories:

  • Drafting
  • Refrigeration
  • Mechanical Plumbing

Applicants will be assessed against criteria that includes:

  • Career and study achievements;
  • Communication and team work;
  • Leadership skills; and
  • Community service.

The winner of each award category receives a cash prize of $1,000, with an equivalent donation made on their behalf to their preferred charity.

Category winners are then eligible to receive the overall industry Training Achievement Award, which will be announced at the annual Industry Dinner on Saturday, 7 September at the Park Hyatt, Melbourne.

Member companies are encouraged to nominate apprentices and trainees whom they believe have excelled in their training by completing the nomination kit.
