As you may have heard, Standards Australia have finally launched their mobile app.

AMCA and others have been advocating for this for a long time, and it is pleasing to see Standards Australia move in this direction.

However, the mobile app is largely tailored towards small businesses, so it’s likely to have limited use for AMCA members.

Single users can subscribe to curated content sets of commonly referenced publications for different industries across the Australian Standards catalogue, which can then be accessed via the mobile app.

The following industry sets are likely to be of some relevance:

• Refrigeration and airconditioning technicians set

• Ductwork and air handling systems set

• Passive fire systems set

• Plumbers set

• Electrical installation set

• Work at height set

We understand that some of the most regularly used standards are missing from the above sets, so please email us your feedback so we can continue to advocate for better solutions on behalf of AMCA members.

We will also continue to advocate for a more cost-effective solution for commercial businesses where one or two user licenses is simply not enough.
